Along with the mosque, there is not a single church in this country. Several thousand Christians live in Bhutan, but officially they are not allowed to build churches till date. Many times when a person of Muslim or Christian religion from Europe or any other country comes to visit Bhutan, he does not find any mosque or church here for worship. However, if we look officially, a small prayer hall has definitely been built in Bamthang… which has three rooms. People who believe in Muslim, Sikh and Christian religions can come and pray in these three different rooms.

There is a huge Hindu temple here

On one hand, there is no mosque and church in Bhutan. There are many Hindu temples there. The largest of these Hindu temples is built in Thimphu, the capital of Bhutan. There are many idols of Hindu deities in this temple. Hindus from all over the country come here and offer prayers. Let us tell you that Bhutan was a part of the Cooch Behar dynasty of India till the 7th century, after which it became independent and converted to Buddhism.
